The project will be documented by the production and publication of a Zine. The project will involve online shared meetings, exchanges and performances, the co-creation of a new piece of music, and finally a visit from the Romanian group in February 2023 to meet us and share musical and lyrical experiences. We would like to invite people from all across Cornwall, who sing or play any type of musical instrument, and who want to experience, exchange, and collaborate musically, to join with young and professional musicians from Romania. By bringing together musical artists and young people from both countries, we will allow them to express themselves, learn from one another, and share their stories.Ĭarn to Cove has won a pilot award from the British Council’s International Collaboration grant to work with a young team of musicians active in bringing young people together to talk, work and rehearse music in Sibui, Romania. Transylvania Kernow Music Lab is an exchange between two cultural organisations in the UK and Romania, which will bring young musicians from each side to share in the creation and implementation of a Music Hub.
